Recovering from an injury can be a stressful and frustrating time for anyone.

Especially when you're experiencing "good days and bad days". Well, hear me out, that's what is to be expected. ⠀⠀

Just as there are theories and research to suggest why you're improving each week, there are so many environmental factors in our daily lives that will contribute to a "bad day" such as; poor diet choice for a number of days, stress levels increasing, lack of rehab in comparison to the previous week, poor sleep quality etc etc ⠀⠀

This brief graph I've thrown together indicates that: ⠀⠀

Point A = Your current status of injury⠀

Point B = Where you want to be/pain-free/fully functional⠀⠀

The journey from A to B isn't ever straightforward. There are peaks and troughs. There are ups and downs along the way. ⠀⠀The main focus is to understand you are improving. Don't compare your current injury status to yesterday or the day before, compare it to last week or last month and understand you're on your way to point B. ⠀⠀

As long as your rate of progress is going in a positive linear direction that's what we're looking for.
